2DCAT ist ein Dark-Synthpop-Duo aus Washington D.C. — Johan an Synthesizern und selbstgebauten Drumkits, HAEZL an Vocals, Theremin und Texten. Ihr Sound bewegt sich zwischen analoger Coldwave, früher Darkwave und cineastischer Melancholie. HAEZL ist klassisch ausgebildete Opernsängerin und stand u. a. mit Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo und Renée Fleming auf der Bühne — eine Stimme, wie sie das Genre selten hört. Johan baut die meisten seiner Synthesizer selbst (Litterbox 1.3, 2dPawlaris, Pawlivoks16, LynxDrum). Für Fans von Lebanon Hanover, Boy Harsher und Kite.
