Wer ist 2DCAT? / Who is 2DCAT?
2DCAT ist ein Dark-Synthpop-Duo aus Washington D.C. — Johan an Synthesizern und selbstgebauten Drumkits, HAEZL an Vocals, Theremin und Texten. Ihr Sound bewegt sich zwischen analoger Coldwave, früher Darkwave und cineastischer Melancholie. HAEZL ist klassisch ausgebildete Opernsängerin und stand u. a. mit Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo und Renée Fleming auf der Bühne — eine Stimme, wie sie das Genre selten hört. Johan baut die meisten seiner Synthesizer selbst (Litterbox 1.3, 2dPawlaris, Pawlivoks16, LynxDrum). Für Fans von Lebanon Hanover, Boy Harsher und Kite.
2DCAT is a dark synthpop duo from Washington D.C. — Johan on synthesizers and hand-built drum machines, HAEZL on vocals, theremin and lyrics. Their sound moves between analog coldwave, early darkwave and cinematic melancholy. HAEZL is a classically trained opera vocalist who has shared the stage with Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo and Renée Fleming — a vocal caliber the genre rarely sees. Johan builds most of his synths himself (Litterbox 1.3, 2dPawlaris, Pawlivoks16, LynxDrum). For fans of Lebanon Hanover, Boy Harsher and Kite.
